Islamabad [Pakistan], Oct.20 : Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has said an educated and passionate youth can only secure the future of Pakistan.
Pakistani military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) quoted the Army Chief as saying, “It is imperative for us to raise the youth’s potential to the optimal level such that they could measure up to the challenges of today and tomorrow.”
General Raheel made the statement while inaugurating a newly-constructed building of Cadet College Spinkai in South Waziristan, reports the Express Tribune.
According to the ISPR, the college is one of the many institutions being built in the remote areas of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) ‘to hone our bright children’. The Chief of Army Staff also paid tributes to the slain troopers and valiant tribesmen for successfully fighting against terrorism. He said Pakistan’s contribution to fight against terrorism has been acknowledged by the international community.
The tribesmen were thanked by General Raheel for donating land to build the college, and expressed gratitude to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for financing the project. (ANI)
